Infrastructure Engineer (Virtual Desktop/VMware Horizon)
Site2 is a managed IT services provider and cybersecurity consulting firm that helps organizations develop and enhance their cybersecurity programs based on established industry frameworks including NIST 800-171, CIS CSC 20 and CMMC. Site2 is looking for a full-time Infrastructure Engineer to join our Systems Engineering Team.
Responsibilities Include:
- Management and support of a multi-tenant VMware virtualization environment
- Engage with appropriate vendors, clients and internal team members to evaluate, guide, and support the implementation of custom virtualization solutions
- Ownership of the processes involving provisioning, rebuilding, and decommissioning virtual desktops
- Support clients using virtual desktops and hosted applications services
- Document standards, policies, and procedures involving the virtualization environment
- Demonstrate management of change to the environment through planned implementations and minimal disruption
- Other project related and/or BAU activities
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years professional experience supporting VMware and multi-tenant networks
- Experience in Cisco, VMWare, Windows Server OS
- Experience with firewalls, managed switches, VPNs, VLANs, etc.
- Experience in setting up and troubleshooting complex network/firewall scenarios.
- Experience with Cisco and VMWare a must. FortiGate a plus.
- Knowledge in Linux OS is a plus.
- Experience using an RMM tool. ConnectWise RMM experience is a plus but not required.
- Document work in a timely and understandable manner.

- Planning: Tactical, Strategic – Ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
- Problem Solving – Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.

Cybersecurity Analyst – Apprentice
Site2 is a cybersecurity consulting firm that helps organizations develop and enhance their cybersecurity programs based on established industry frameworks including NIST 800-171, CIS CSC 20 and CMMC. Site2 is looking for a full-time Cybersecurity Analyst – Apprentice to be a member of its Red Team and Security Operations Team (SOC).
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support daily security operations including port and system scans, responding to monitoring alerts, and performing daily system integrity checks. In this role, the analyst will help ensure that the SOC is prepared for a compliance audit.
- Support penetration tests and vulnerability assessments by helping with Passive Reconnaissance and Black Box testing of cybersecurity controls. The goal of such exercises is to determine the cybersecurity posture of an organization and help facilitate the remediation of security vulnerabilities.
- Support security assessments through the process of Passive Reconnaissance including via social media and open-source tools such as Shodan and Recon-ng.
- Support security assessments through the process of Active Reconnaissance including networks scans, employee surveys and employee interviews.
- Document vulnerability assessments results; provide/document remediation recommendations.
- Update policies, procedures and controls that meet existing and newly developed regulatory requirements including NIST 800-171, CMMC, HIPAA, and/or FFIEC guidance.
- Support cybersecurity awareness training including facilitating social engineering testing.
Skills/Requirements:
- Associate Degree in Information Sciences, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related field required.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Active Directory domains, and networking.
- Familiarity with IT Security frameworks and IT Risk Assessments; NIST CSF and 800-171 preferred.
- Familiarity with Kali Linux and Nessus preferred.
- Excellent communication skills especially technical writing.
- Ability to work independently while also being able to collaborate with peers.
- 2-3 years Information Technology experience preferred with a proven ability to engage with Senior Management, clients and regulators.
- Apprentice will be required to earn the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Registered Practitioner (RP) designation within 90 days of employment.
- Apprentice will be required to earn the ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) certification, CompTIA Security+ or comparable designation, as approved by management, within 1 year of employment; upon achievement, apprentice will be eligible for full-time employment as a Cybersecurity Analyst.
